1960

Hello girls! It's my turn over at the Blue Fern Studios blog to share my
projects for this month. I finally got some of the new 7 Dots paper Cold Country
and I am so in love with them. Just loving the purples and icy blues.....

'1960'

Another beautiful vintage photograph of my Grandma. I used some Blue Fern Studios chipboards
called 'Blooming Flourish' and altered them with white croco paint, purple mist and then
embossed them in silver. Love how they turned out, they look really old and weathered and it
really fits in with these vintage inspired papers.

I also created a card using the Blue Fern Studios 'Parlour' paper as a base,
and then altered a piece called 'Damask Motif' with the same techniques.....

And a close up....

I hope you enjoyed!
Don't forget there is still plenty of time to enter the Blue Fern Studios
April challenge! You can find it here....

Until next time,

with you

Hi there! Hope everyone is having a lovely weekend so far....
I saw this beautiful sketch over at Flying Unicorn and was really inspired to create
a layout with the Blue Fern Studios Chicken wire panel.

'with you'

Here is the beautiful sketch, you can find the Flying Unicorn blog here

Here are a few close ups....

This is an old photo of my mother in law and her mother, brother and sister.
I used some bits of vintage ephemera, some Prima flowers, and some Tim Holtz
tissue tape which I am sooooooo in love with.

Thanks for looking, I appreciate each and every visit and comment so much......

Big hugs, Lisa xox

At the Pier

Hello girls! I hope everyone is doing great, and having a little taste of spring....
I found a challenge blog recently called Scrap the Boys, and that's perfect for me
because that's all I have!

'At the Pier '

The current challenge is to use flowers on a boy layout....well, I do this all the time so I thought I'd join in! :) This photo is a typical shot....I am always walking a few steps behind my guys taking a million photos along the way.
Love, love, love to go on a holiday, always come back with lots of great photos to scrap!
I loved the yellows and oranges here so I thought I'd do a bright sunny layout with lots of grungy black. You can find the April challenge here.

Here are a few close ups....

I used some Prima flowers, a cool Kaisercraft stamp that looks like a film strip and some Blue Fern Studios chip board pieces that I painted black, in love with the little arrows.

See you soon, thanks for the visit!

Hugs, Lisa xox

remember today

Hello girls! Well, here we are in a brand new month, which means there's a brand new sketch up on Blue Fern Studios blog, and another chance to win some gorgeous chippies! I was able to get in on the fun this month and I created....

"remember today"

Here I started with the Blue Fern Studios paper called "Boudoir" and did lots of masking, misting and stamping. I also used Blue Fern Studios chip board called "Harlequin Panel" and "Tattered Diamond Bits" which I cut up and embossed in white. Here is the wonderful sketch for April...

Please visit The Blue Fern Studios blog here, for the challenge rules.

Here are a few close ups:

This is a vintage photo of my paternal grandparents really looking happy together.
I believe the date stamped on the top says June 1954.

Thanks for taking a look, see you soon!

by the sea

Hello! I hope everyone is doing well today.
I am sharing a layout I created for the challenge blog Scrapfriends which recently became Kreative Koncepts.....please check out their blog here....it has some amazingly talented girls and some really inspiring sketches.....

"by the sea"

So....which are your favorite new Prima collections? I have to say mine is the Cartographer...I just love the warm brown and gold colors and the vintage prints. I love all the papers, flowers and the little wooden icons, and I can't wait to try my hand at creating some ATC's with that little ATC paper pad....
So here I used Prima Cartographer paper and flowers, some Prima and Kaisercraft stamps and some vintage buttons and bits of ephemera.
I don't know what to do about my addiction to gold paints and mists! LOL!

I also used a beautiful Blue Fern Studios piece called Quatrefoil Panel which I cut up and painted gold.....This is a vintage photo of my fathers aunts and uncles on the 'beach' (lol) in England....

Have a wonderful week....
Hugs, Lisa xo
